Feel Lost & Need Help?

Ever get to a point where you wish you could just ask a quick question & get a bit of help? Or you found (finally) that death certificate on Great Uncle George that you've been searching for & now that you have it, you can't make out the writing on the "cause of death"? We've all had moments like this & would love to be able to post about them & receive some help, right?

Now I know there are several sites out there offering such help. But it is always nice to know about another one I think. A couple of years ago, some old friends of mine all got accounts on "Live Journal" as a way to keep up with everyone. Live Journal is basically like Blog, My Space, Facebook, etc. I'm not particularly a fan of My Space & I don't have an account on Facebook, so I can't say yah or nay on it. But I do use LJ (Live Journal). One of the cool features for LJ, is they offer special interest communities to join.

One such community is called "Searching for Our Ancestor's".....I love it! Everyone is very nice in their replies back to you, no matter how stupid you think your question might be (lol) & they have been very helpful to those in need.

You don't have to be a member of "LJ" to view Searching for Our Ancestor's community but (if I remember right) you do need to be a member to post. Joining either LJ or the community is quiet simple, it's free & worth the look see. Here is the link to their profile, Searching for Our Ancestor's . Take a trip over there & look at some of the questions/answers to get a feel for the community.

As I said, the community has some very nice folks on it & I'm always learning new things from others & their posts. I have to admit, it makes me feel good when I am able to help someone in their quest. :)
